Imitrex - Pain Relief

Typical uses of Imitrex
Imitrex is used to treat, not prevent, migraine headaches. It is not effective in preventing migraines and should not be used for other types of headaches.

How Imitrex is usually taken
Take this medication as your physician prescribed. Take one dose orally at the beginning of a migraine attack. If you must take a second dose, do so exactly as instructed by your doctor. Do not take more than 200mg in a 24 hour period. Take pill with a full glass of water and do not crush or chew them.

Potential Side Effects of Imitrex
When first taking medication it may cause flushing, dizziness, weakness, nausea, drowsiness, stiffness, or feelings of tingling, heat, fatigue. If these effects continue contact your doctor.
